How to tell a real locksmith from a lead broker
This is worth knowing whether or not you call us. Before you give anyone your address:
- Ask for the legal business name. A broker will dodge it or give you a generic "locksmith services".
- Ask for a firm price over the phone. "The technician will quote on arrival" is the warning sign.
- Ask where they are dispatching from. A local shop can name a town.
- Expect to be asked for ID. A company that does not ask is a company you should not want.
- Check the vehicle. Unmarked car and no uniform is not automatically bad, but it is worth a question.
- Get the price confirmed before work starts, not after the door is open.
